In 2020, as we all know only too well it’s being no ordinary year for any level of business be it farming or other. Thankfully our family’s health and well-being haven’t been affected by this awful pandemic. Sadly, this hasn’t been the case for many families throughout the UK and Ireland and we offer our sincere condolences to all who have lost friends and loved ones.

The Trueman herd was established in 1997 with the purchase of a heifer Spage Miranda from the Campbell family. Shortly afterwards a 10-month-old heifer Hollybank Oprah was purchased from W.G. Scott, and went on to breed many exceptional cattle including, Trueman Euphonium the 2011 National Champion.

Twelve daughters of Euphonium are retained within the herd. Lots 4,5,9,10, & 11 represent Euphonium breed line. Hollybank Oprah also bred Trueman Honey, Dam of the Carlisle Champion Trueman Mozart, and Lot 12 is representing direct progeny from Hollybank Oprah in the form of frozen embryos. In 1998 Bellview Mystical was purchased privately from Brian Walker. Mystical is the Dam to Trueman Song, who breed Trueman Foxtrot who is the Dam of Trueman Lute, our first Interbreed Champion at Balmoral 2017.
