5 Nations Native Breed Sale - March 18th 2022 (Archived #246686)

Our seller, based at Loughside farm, Ballycarry Co. Antrim is an eighth-generation family farm, now farmed by Rachael Garrett & her husband Mervyn. For the past 8 years, Rachael & Mervyn have grown their Dexter herd to 70 cattle driven mainly by the demand for high-quality grass-fed Dexter beef.

Sale cow Deerpark Dawn is a beautiful, black polled, 4-year-old cow. (Herd Book Number: F64235) was scanned on 27/01/22 and was approximately 5+ months in calf to Dynamite Kasabian. Her last calf was a bull calf. Deerpark Dawn is 100% Grass-Fed and Farm Quality Assured. Dynamite Kasabian the calf's sire is Linear Assessed as VG88. He throws good beefy calves that are easy calved and fast on their feet. Kasabian was also Reserve Breed Champion and Male Breed Champion in 2020. Deerpark Dawn would be a fabulous addition to an existing pedigree Dexter herd or for someone new looking to get into a breed with relatively low maintenance and so much potential for a viable beef enterprise.
