David Crozier, farms alongside his Uncle Sammy in Teemore in Northern Ireland, on the shore of Lough Erne. The Simmental breed first appealed to David for their docile temperament, the maternal attitude of the mothers and how milky the cows are, and then established their own Simmental herd in 2014. The first cow that was bought was a cow from the bearna-dhearg herd, from there they bought a few from the Seaview herd in Cork. The Cackinish herd produce 2 to 4 pedigree calves each year, The partnership exclusively uses AI on all of their pedigrees, being able to use top quality bulls. This heifer is the first of the family that Cackinish have sold, making it very exciting for the herd. The Partnership has sold everything up to date off-farm with good feedback from all customers, making this sale a very exciting one for the family
