JP & John McFadden own the Linhill herd, based in Co. Antrim, they have been breeding Pedigree Shorthorns since 2014 when they established the herd with the purchase of two maiden heifers from a society sale in Carlisle. The female progeny has been retained year on year from those two foundation heifers and in 2021 the herd was awarded NI best brood cow family. As a small herd, they have selected proven AI sires for use with their cows.
